Today is the second Sunday of Advent. The purple candle for this week is sometimes called the “love” candle. The light of this candle reminds us of the coming of Jesus, the light of our world who brings us hope and fills us with God’s love.
God of power and mercy,
Open our hearts in welcome.
Remove the things that hinder us
from receiving Christ with joy
so that we may share his wisdom
and become one with him when he comes in glory,
for he lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
one God, forever and ever.
Amen.
Christmas Fundraiser: Concert Draws & Candy Grams Sale
We thank all families who have supported our Christmas fundraiser for the Society of St. Vincent de Paul through our Christmas Concert draws for reserved front row seats and parking spots, and candy gram sales.
Today, Sunday, December 10th, is the last day to purchase draw tickets for the Kindergarten and Primary Concert shows. Winners will be contacted by Wednesday, December 13th.
Candy grams can be ordered until Friday, December 15th. Consider buying for your child’s classmates, his/her friends and/or siblings. Your child will be able to write a short and thoughtful message for each candy gram they order for another student. Candy grams will be delivered during the week of December 18th to 22nd.
