Happy Mother’s Day!
Let us take a moment to give thanks for all mothers: expectant mothers, birth mothers, adoptive mothers, foster mothers, stepmothers, grandmothers, those who fill in for mothers, and those who play mothering roles in our lives.
Loving God,
we thank you for the love of the mothers you have given us,
whose love is so precious that it can never be measured,
whose patience seems to have no end.
May we see your loving hand guiding them.
We pray for those mothers who fear they will run out of
love or time, or patience.
We ask you to bless them with your own special love.
We ask this in the name of Jesus.

Shake for Sharelife
Don’t forget, on May 16th, St. Mark CES will host a SHAKE for SHARELIFE dance!
Parents, guardians, family and friends are invited to give generously and sponsor students by Tuesday, May 14th, as they dance to raise funds for Sharelife!
Students will earn tickets for sponsorship received…
– $5 sponsorship via https://www.school-day.com/ = 3 tickets earned
– $10 sponsorship via https://www.school-day.com/ = 10 tickets earned
– $20 donated via https://sharelife.org/donate/ = 30 tickets earned and tax receipt from Sharelife; please be sure to add the following information in the Notes or Direction section: My child <insert NAME + GRADE> is participating in the SHAKE for SHARELIFE dance at St. Mark Catholic Elementary School in Stouffville on May 16th, 2024.
For all parents, guardians and family members who donate through Sharelife by Tuesday, May 14th:
A separate email will follow with a Google form to complete to ensure that students receive their draw tickets.
Students will enter their tickets to win one or more prizes!
We are also excited to offer students the opportunity to purchase glow accessories for our Shake for Sharelife Dance! The last day to order is Tuesday, May 14th! All funds raised will be donated to Sharelife.

Rosary Apostolate May Celebration
On Wednesday, May 22nd, St. Mark CES will celebrate the International Festival of Roses in honour of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
Kindergarten to Grade 3 students will learn about the story of Our Lady of Guadalupe by watching a play performed by their peers, while students in Grades 3/4 to 6 will watch a short video presentation. Select students will then pray the first part of the Hail Mary in a different language, followed by all students who will pray in English.
We look forward to this beautiful May Celebration in Honour of our Lady of Guadalupe.
