Weekly Update: June 10-14, 2024

Saturday was the Memorial of the Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary. This day follows the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. On this day we remember Mary. We remember her joys and sorrows, her virtues and hidden perfections, and above all, her love for God the Father, her maternal love for her son Jesus, and her compassionate love for all people.

Let us say our prayer to Mary.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee;
blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

June is National Indigenous Heritage Month. Throughout this month, all are invited to celebrate the rich heritage, history and diversity of Indigenous Peoples across Canada and within our community. June 21 is National Indigenous Peoples Day, a day for all Canadians to recognize and celebrate the unique heritage, diverse cultures and outstanding achievements of First Nations, Inuit, and Metis peoples.

We look forward to reflecting on, exploring and celebrating the lives, stories, contributions and accomplishments of Indigenous Peoples.

Yearbooks for Sale

St. Mark CES is pleased to inform you of the sale of our 2023-24 ‘snapshot’ yearbook!

You may be wondering, what is a ‘snapshot’ yearbook?

This year’s 36-page yearbook will include a class composite of individual student portraits and a class group photo, for each class. In addition, class memories will be shared through a special message from each teacher (and ECE for Kindergarten classes) and/or image. School memories, field trips and programs, as well as athletics and clubs will be represented by symbols/images/logos rather than photographs of students. We believe that these representations will prompt wonderful memories of the 2023-24 school year.

The cost of this year’s ‘snapshot’ yearbook is $16.00.

Visit www.school-day.com to place your order by Sunday, June 16th, 2024. Yearbooks will be delivered in time for the end of the school year!
