Weekly Update: June 23-27, 2025

Today is Corpus Christi, or the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ. On this day we celebrate the gift of Jesus present in the Eucharist.

Jesus, Body and Blood,
We are grateful for the gift of your life
and the way it strengthens us to live ours.
Teach us to draw on the gift of your Body and Blood
for energy, renewal, strength and grace.
May we never take the gift of your presence for granted.
Amen.

Shake for Sharelife

Our SHAKE for SHARELIFE dance charity fundraiser was a tremendous success! We are pleased to report that our school raised $1116.24! These funds will be donated to ShareLife on behalf of St. Mark CES families.

Thank you for your generosity and support of ShareLife!

Dressing for the Weather

The weather forecast for early this week is to be hot and humid. We will monitor the extreme hot weather conditions, and adjust our recess routine accordingly.

Parents and guardians are encouraged to have children wear lightweight and light coloured clothing to school. Don’t forget hats or sun visors, and apply sunscreen on children in the morning before leaving for school. Refillable water bottles will help keep students hydrated.

Please encourage students to communicate with staff if they are feeling unwell.

We look forward to less hot and humid weather in the days ahead!

Yearbooks

Pre-ordered yearbooks were delivered last week. A few remaining yearbooks are still available on a first come, first served basis. Students interested in purchasing a yearbook should see Ms. Hurrle in the library, with payment of $30 (cash only).

Congratulations!

Congratulations to all of our Grades 1-6 students on their class dance performances, as well as those students who showcased their talents at our talent show, St. Mark Has Talent! We are proud of their hard work to prepare for their amazing performances! Well done LIONS!!
