Today is the third Sunday of Advent. We light the pink or rose coloured candle which symbolizes the Advent rose, a time to pause in this season to give joy to others. This candle is also called the ‘joy’ candle.
Lord God,
May we, your people,
who look forward to the birthday of Christ
experience the joy of salvation and
celebrate that feast with love and thanksgiving.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
Kindergarten and Primary Christmas Concert
We thank all parents, guardians and family members for joining us last Friday for this year’s Kindergarten and Primary Christmas Concert! The children gave wonderful performances. We are so proud of them!
We are grateful for our teachers, ECEs, EAs/SEIs, custodians, Grade 6 MCs, tech crew and stage crew for all their hard work and dedication to making the concert a great success!
Our Kindergarten and Primary Christmas Concert draws raised $665! All funds will be donated to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul – St. Mark Parish Conference, which will benefit our neighbours in need this Christmas. Thank you to all parents and guardians for their generosity.
Christmas Candy Grams
Thank you to all parents and guardians who purchased candy grams! Students will receive their candy grams cards on Monday/Tuesday this week, based on the number of candy grams purchased. Students will have the opportunity to write their name and/or messages to their classmates, friends and/or siblings. Staff will assist children, as needed to complete their messages.
Candy grams messages will be paired with a candy cane or Hershey’s Kisses pack of 4, based on orders placed. Candy grams will be distributed by the end of the week.
As previously mentioned, all funds raised from our candy gram sales will be donated along with the funds raised from our Christmas Concert draws to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul – St. Mark Parish Conference. We will share the total funds raised from candy gram sales in our next weekly update.

Amen.
