Weekly Update: February 24-28, 2025

The Golden Rule as explained in the Gospel of Matthew offers wisdom on ways to avoid actions that could be hurtful to others.  “In everything, do to others as you would have them do to you.”  It is important for each one of us to be kind and respectful, and to be aware of how our words and actions affect others.  We ask God to help us to remember to accept, include and serve one another with love.

God of Heaven and Earth,
you created one human family of brothers and sisters.
We thank you for the gifts you have given each one of us.
Help us to support each other in recognizing and developing our gifts.
Teach us to build each other up, not tear each other down.
Fill our hearts with love for you and for our neighbour
so that we may be instruments of peace and justice,
ensuring that all people are treated with fairness and respect.
We ask this through our Jesus Christ, your son.
Amen.

Amen.
