During the month of February, we reflect on the virtue of wisdom. May we each pray and ask God to help us to use good judgment when speaking, and to have thoughts worthy of what we have received, for God is the source of all wisdom.
Let us pray this prayer for wisdom and peace:
God of love, you teach us that there is
wisdom in peacefulness; wisdom in balance;
wisdom in joy; wisdom in hope;
wisdom in patience; wisdom in truth.
May we have the courage to work
for peace in our school community.

Carnaval Skate Day
St. Mark CES celebrates Carnaval this week!
A reminder that in order to participate in our skate events, students must have all of the necessary equipment: well fitted ice skates, a CSA approved hockey helmet, and a pair of winter gloves. Bicycle or ski helmets are not permitted. Please note that students will not be able to purchase food and drinks at the arena.
Please visit www.school-day.com to complete the permission forms for child(ren) in Grades 1-3 and 4-6 who will attend the Skate Day at Stouffville Arena on Friday, February 13th.
Catholic School Council (CSC) Fundraiser
Don’t forget, St. Mark CSC is running their BIG Box Fundraiser! Use your paper order form to collect orders and payments from friends, extended family members, and coworkers, then submit them online through School Day. It’s that easy!

Shrove Tuesday
We are pleased to share that on Shrove Tuesday, February 17th, our Catholic School Council is sponsoring whole-grain pancakes (snack-size) with syrup, prepared by Kid’s Kitchen (https://www.kidskitchen.ca/), a nut-free kitchen. For students with egg and/or dairy allergies, an alternate waffle snack will be provided. Students will receive this special treat during first snack on February 17th.
