Throughout November, we continue to reflect on the virtue of justice. Christian justice is rooted in love. It is based on fairness, mercy and compassion. We are called to be kind and to give generously. These are qualities that lead us to live lives where justice will prevail.
God of Justice,
May we always be ready for your presence in our lives.
May we have the wisdom to see you in everyone.
May we open our eyes to see when we can act in a just way
to change injustice happening around us.
May we always be ready to open our hearts to you,
even when you come at unexpected times.
Amen.

World Kindness Day
St. Mark CES will celebrate World Kindness Day on Monday, November 13th! We are pleased to start the day with an author read aloud, by our own Mrs. Gordon who will read her book, Catching Kindness – An Infectious Tale, with grade classes, FDK to Grade 4.
This week and beyond, we plan to sprinkle kindness like confetti, at St. Mark CES! Our staff will be looking to capture random acts of kindness by our students. These will be represented using coloured cards and displayed on our hallway bulletin board. Please look for this bulletin board during Parent-Teacher Interviews!
Dressing for the Weather
With the colder weather upon us, students are reminded to dress for the weather. Winter jackets, hats, gloves, scarves, boots, and soon snow pants, will keep children warm during recesses. Parents and guardians are encouraged to send an extra set of clothes to school for their child(ren) in the event that clothing becomes wet.

Closing Prayer
As we anticipate World Kindness Day, let us reflect on the ways that acts of kindness whether large or small can make a difference in our family, workplace, school and parish communities, and the world. We are invited to consider how God calls each one of us to be kind and compassionate to each other as members of God’s loving family.
Let us pray…
God of Justice,
Help us to always see those around us
with loving and compassionate eyes.
May we always work toward breaking down
the barriers to love that make people feel isolated and alone.
Help us develop the wisdom to know
that every little bit of kindness and care that we show to each other
will make a difference and will always demonstrate our love for you.
We make this prayer in your name, Jesus.
Amen.
St. Mark, pray for us.
Wishing you a fantastic week!
Sincerely,
C. Quadrini, Principal
