Dear St. Mark CES Parents and Guardians,
On Ash Wednesday, we began the Lenten season.
God our Father,
You formed us from the dust of the earth
and brought us to new life in Christ
through the waters of Baptism.
We ask you to change our hearts
as we journey through these forty days of Lent.
Help us to see Jesus in everyone we meet,
and to serve him in all persons,
especially the poor, the sick and the lonely.
By your grace, may our prayers and sacrifices
this Lent help us grow closer to each other and to you,
as one family in Jesus.
We make this prayer to You in His name.
Amen.
Anti-Bullying and Kindness Week
February 27th to March 3rd will be dedicated to bullying awareness and prevention, and continuing to build positive peer relationships and spread kindness. The focus of student learning will include understanding conflict vs bullying, types of bullying, strategies to respond to bullying, and being an upstander.
Students will participate in a number of learning activities throughout the week.
We look forward to kick starting the week with an opening assembly on Monday.
Pink Shirt day will take place on Wednesday. Students and staff are invited to wear a pink shirt to show that we are all working together to prevent bullying in our school.
On Thursday, St. Mark CES will welcome Katie Kuperman, author and public speaker. She will facilitate age appropriate anti-bullying presentations for our K-3 classes and Grades 3/4 to 6 classes. We thank our Catholic School Council for sponsoring these presentations.
We look forward to this week of learning.

on the journey through Lent to Easter.
Amen.
