Happy Mother’s Day!

Let us take a moment to give thanks for all mothers: expectant mothers, birth mothers, adoptive mothers, foster mothers, stepmothers, grandmothers, those who fill in for mothers, and those who play mothering roles in our lives.
Loving God,
we thank you for the love of the mothers you have given us,
whose love is so precious that it can never be measured,
whose patience seems to have no end.
May we see your loving hand guiding them.
We pray for those mothers who fear they will run out of
love or time, or patience.
We ask you to bless them with your own special love.
We ask this in the name of Jesus.
Amen.
Rosary Apostolate May Celebration

On Wednesday, May 26th, St. Mark CES will participate in our Rosary May Celebration. Students will learn about the story of Our Lady of Lourdes by watching a short video presentation. Students will then pray the Rosary together and the coronation of Our Blessed Mother Mary will follow.
We give thanks for the St. Mark Parish Rosary Apostolate team members who will lead this celebration and prepare our student volunteers. Families are welcome to join us for this special event.
Dressing for the Weather
The warmer weather will soon be upon us. In anticipation of the heat, parents and guardians are invited to assist and support students in dressing appropriately for the weather.
As reflected in the YCDSB’s Elementary Student Dress Code and Procedure: Elementary Student Dress Code Addendum to Policy 219A Elementary Student Dress Code, student attire must be in keeping with our Catholic teachings and beliefs, and reflect the value of modesty and the principle of the dignity of the human person.
Garments are to have solid fabric, and upper garments are to cover the midriff and shoulders. Shorts are to be of reasonable length (mid-thigh).
To assist in managing the heat, students should wear loose clothing and summer hats. Please apply sunscreen to children in the morning before school to prepare them for the sun, and ensure that they have their refillable water bottle to stay hydrated at school.
Thank you for your continued support. We look forward to enjoying the beautiful sunny weather!
Spring Concert
Join us for our Spring Concert on Friday, May 22nd, 2026 at 12:30pm! This year’s theme is O’Canada!
Due to capacity limitations and fire regulations, we ask that only up to 3 members per family attend.

We look forward to an amazing show!

Closing Prayer
In this month we honour and celebrate Mary, the Mother of God.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee;
blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.
Mary, Mother of God, pray for us.
St. Mark, pray for us.
Wishing you a wonderful week!
Sincerely,
C. Quadrini, Principal
